Kristin Triumphs at Advanced Welsh Skills Competition

Kristian Eiersland is a Foundation Apprentice enrolled on a Level 2 Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance course. He has always been interested in Motor Vehicle so he enrolled at NPTC Group of Colleges Motor Vehicle Academy (Pontardawe College) on the full-time course.

After completing his Level 1 and Level 2 VRQ, Pathways Training was approached by the Mid and West Wales Fire Service who wished to recruit an apprentice. Pathways liaised with the Motor Vehicle department and two suitable candidates were selected and put forward for the vacancy. Kristian was successful in his application and he started working with the organisation.

Kristian has enrolled on a Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair course. He is in the 2nd year of his learning programme. He has achieved a Distinction in every online examination for his VRQ, he consistently meets set targets and is making excellent progress on his VCQ portfolio. His framework requirements only require Level 1 Essential Skills but Kristian has completed his Level 2 and he will be attending for his Level 3 as value-added learning.

Kristian recently entered the Welsh Skills Advanced Heavy Vehicle competition where he carried out a variety of judged assessments. Kristian performed extremely well and he achieved First Place/Gold Award in the competition.  He will now be entering the national competition to be held later in the year.

Kristian is a very competent, mature and capable apprentice who no doubt will have a long distinguished career in the industry.
