Hard Work Pays Off!
Apprentice mechanic Iain Howells from NPTC Group of Colleges will not be putting the brakes on his career any time soon.
The 20 year old Apprentice from Llanfair Caereinion, supported by Phillip Paul Cars (PPC), Oswestry has recently successfully completed his Level 3 Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Maintenance and repair.
We asked Iain what he thought about his Apprenticeship
“The course was brilliant; I highly recommend school leavers to consider an apprenticeship as you get qualifications as well as on-the-job experience. I’m hoping to progress even further now by becoming qualified in DVSA MOT Testing. The Pathways Assessor Arwyn Jones, was really supportive and because he is a qualified mechanic he understands the complexity of the work.”
Iain and Philip Paul Cars have been working through Pathways Training, the Colleges’ work-based learning department and they are extremely happy with the partnership.
Phil Hughes from PPC said:
“Iain is the second learner that we have trained to a Level 3 qualification and we look forward to continuing this partnership with the College in the future.”
