Modern Apprenticeship
In Health And Social Care

 

Learners can expect to be doing work based learning with an employer.

 

The NVQ Framework consists of:-

 

  • NVQ Health and Social Care Level 3
  • Certificate in Health and Social Care Level 3
  • Key Skill in Application of Number Level 2
  • Key Skill in Communication Level 2

 

Entry Requirements:

 

A Basic Skills Assessment will be carried out prior to enrolment for the Modern Apprenticeship. Also learners are expected to successfully satisfy the following criteria:-

 

  • Living or working in Wales
  • Undertake Initial Assessment.
  • Successfully undertake skills assessment in literacy and numeracy.
  • Occupy a work role that is consistent with the level of qualification.

 

The Type Of Job A Modern Apprentice Might Be Doing

 

There is a very wide range of roles that may be undertaken by a Modern Apprentice. These would depend on the occupational experience of the learner and the Level of the Apprenticeship. The following list is not exhaustive:

 

Modern Apprentice (Level 3)

 

Learners engaging on a Level 3 programme should hold supervisory responsibilities or occupy a role involving specialist tasks with a relevant degree of autonomy or independence

 

Career Progression After Completing An Apprenticeship

 

There is a range of options for career progression following completion of the Framework.
