College days attend per week

 Support from Pathways Assessor / Advisor throughout course (on farm by appointment)

Job roles


Agriculture Level 2 on the farm with no college attendance


This course is really good for those who just want to work on the farm although equally if you want to attend college this can also be accommodated in the Apprenticeship. You will be employed as an Apprentice on a farm earning a salary as you gain nationally recognised qualifications and certificates of competence.

Level 2 - General Farm Worker, Tractor Driver, Assistant Shepherd/Herdsperson and Poultry Technician.


Agriculture Level 2 workplace and college attendance


You will be required to attend college for two days per week and will be employed on the farm for the remaining days.

Level 2 - General Farm Worker, Tractor Driver, Assistant Shepherd/Herdsperson.


Agriculture Level 3 on farm with no college attendance


Work Based NVQ 3 Apprenticeship and additional certificates of competence available. (It is recommended that you complete a level 2 Apprenticeship before taking up this option.)

Level 3 - Manager, Shepherd, Herdsperson, Tractor / Machinery Operator.


Agriculture Level 3 workplace and college attendance


An excellent opportunity to progress within a farm business or manage your own enterprise. You will attend college one day per week.

Level 3 - Management, Shepherd, Herdsperson, Tractor/Machinery Operator and Higher Education

If you are an Apprentice you must be employed and work a minimum of 16 hours per week.
